Glyde Coat® is a powder / PTFE combination coating developed by Advanced Industrial Coatings. It is an economical, high-performance powder coating available exclusively to our customers.
Properties of Glyde Coat®
Glyde Coat goes on like a regular powder, but has the characteristics of a dry film lubricant. True to its name, Glyde Coat is a good choice if you need a slippery surface, where something can move across the part or for parts that need easy cleanup.
Typical thickness is 2 – 4 mm, but in some circumstances it may be possible to achieve a thickness under 2 mm.

- Excellent coefficient of friction
- Good weather resistance
Glyde Coat exists in a wide variety of colors and can be applied to a wide variety of metal parts. Originally developed for wheelchair manufacturers, Glyde Coat has also been used on earthquake safety parts, lawn mower bases, and even on Telewave antennas for deicing purposes.
